Love the sea

Who are we?

We are the sea swimming section of Brighton Swimming Club.  We swim in the sea every day of the year from our club changing rooms just to the east of Palace Pier.  Our members have a range of swimming aspirations; some just paddle, others use the club as a training base for longer swims.
Brighton Swimming Club was founded in 1860 as a Sea Swimming Club.  Nowadays, in addition to sea swimming, the club offers competitive pool swimming, water polo, synchronised swimming and masters swimming.

Can I Join?

Yes!  We welcome new members.  All members receive a fob that allows them to access the club changing facilities on the beach by Palace Pier.  The club has men's and women's changing rooms with hot showers, toilet and small kitchen.
Inductions are held between May and September.  Membership of the Sea Swimming Section costs £130 per year.
